Boots & My Own Addiction

My Own Addiction is a high-energy rock band out of Oshawa, Ontario, quickly making waves on the Canadian rock scene with their electrifying sound, killer live shows, and authentic connection with audiences. Blending classic rock with hard blues undertones and powerful female vocals, the band is earning a reputation as one of the most exciting new acts to watch.

At the heart of My Own Addiction is Alexandra Augustine, a long-time actor and performer whose stage presence has earned her the nickname “Boots” for the epic platform boots she rocks with every performance. Her commanding vocals, magnetic energy, and fearless style set the tone for a band that audiences describe as a nonstop, high-energy rock experience.

Joined by longtime collaborators Andrew Losier on guitar, Todd Burrows on drums, and Tim Reesor on bass, My Own Addiction released their debut album in 2023 and has since opened for rock legends Buckcherry, The Lazys, Anvil, and The Killer Dwarfs. Their third single, “Take You Out,” won awards for Best Song and Best Director in 2024 in both Canada and the US. Reviews from Loud TO, KingstonLive, and other outlets praise the band’s creativity, intensity, and Alexandra’s powerhouse performances.

Currently, My Own Addiction is working on their second LP, set for release in early 2026, promising more bold rock, unforgettable performances, and the same high-energy connection that keeps fans coming back.
